Meet Lisa Love, owner of LoveWrapz Boutique. Lisa Love is a New Orleans native currently residing in Dallas, Texas. Through her love of head wraps, and passion for entrepreneurship, LoveWrapz was born. With over ten years of experience in Retail Management, and Customer Service, Lisa is well versed in Marketing, Branding, and all the tools needed to produce a successful brand. After years of hard work, delivering results in the corporate sector, making the rich richer, Lisa felt it was time to utilize her talents to make her own dreams a reality, by starting her own business venture.
In March 2018, she had an idea to start an online retail store, selling handmade products created with love, to showcase on a worldwide platform. Filled with excitement, as she prepared to launch her online store, Lisa encountered a layoff from her corporate job. Disguised as a setback, this would be the turning point that would fuel Lisa’s entrepreneurial appetite.
LoveWrapz Boutique officially launched with a full online store in July 2018. LoveWrapz is an expression and a movement. LoveWrapz is more than just a “head wrap”. LoveWrapz embodies love, pride and unity in the African American heritage through our bold and colorful African prints. LoveWrapz is an experience, and no matter your reason for wanting to wrap, we have a variety of wraps for every man, woman and child, no matter race, class or ethnicity.
In addition to our online shop, we offer head wrap photoshoot packages; on set styling for movies, commercials, or videos shoots; tutorials, vendor partnering, and we welcome all interview request.
The Wrap Game:For centuries an array of head wraps/ head coverings has been essential in a variety of cultures and religions around the world. African women regarded their head wraps as a sign of courage and unity; however, it was the opposite for African women living in the United States during the period of slavery. Many slaves were required to wear a head wrap by their owners. During this time, the wraps symbolized poverty and enslavement. Long gone are the days where headwraps symbolize oppression and despair, in this century we have reclaimed the glory, love, respect and unity that our African ancestors originally embodied when crowned in a head wrap. Lovewrapz honors the past, while setting fashion trends, bonded in love.
